This tease from Lenovo is all about solar-powered and foldable screen laptops in its very latest concept.

HIGHLIGHTS:

Lenovo presented the Lenovo Think Book "flip" concept—a laptop boasting a foldable screen. When completely unfolded, the screen becomes an 18-displayer.

The company displayed a solar-powered PC that would offer the user just a little more battery output when a charge point is not available because of the running-down battery of the device.

Concepts are the two devices, so they are not available for the market.

On the occasion of the unveiling, Monday witnessed Lenovo displaying a laptop with a foldable screen and one that supplements battery life from solar energy.

Such laptops have been purely conceptual; in fact, these are not available for normal sale anywhere in the world. Lenovo, the world's largest PC manufacturer, is not a stranger to creating some brilliant concepts, many of which eventually make it to reality, so one would do well to keep an eye on what this fab technology giant cooks up next.

For instance, last year, he had showcased the rollable laptop concept, where the screen rolls up to enlarge the display area. The company shall start selling such a laptop this year.

The latest inventions were revealed at Mobile World Congress, the world's largest trade fair for wireless technologies, in Barcelona.

Foldable laptop screen

The Lenovo Think Book 'flip' concept is a laptop that features a foldable screen. When completely unfolded, the screen shows an 18-inch display.

This means that the window can then be folded in half horizontally so as to create two separate screens—one in front and one at the back.

The entire display can fold down flat, transforming the laptop into a tablet-like device.

Foldable screens are not a new thing in the market; consumer electronics giants like Samsung and Honor even have smartphones that use foldable screens, while Huawei sells a smartphone with a trifold screen.

However, foldable screens of such a size, usually seen on laptops, are pretty uncommon.

There is much more work Lenovo would have to do on this concept before it is ready to be commercially sold, including reinforcing the durability factor of the display.

Solar-powered laptop

Lenovo Yoga Solar PC is the other concept device showcased for the 2025 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. It has solar panels in the back, which, according to Lenovo, can give the user some extra battery life.

The Lenovo Yoga Solar PC is the other concept gadget by the company named after the Yoga laptops.

It has solar panels installed on the back. These are capable of absorbing light.

Although the PC still works using a regular charger, the concept behind it is that this solar power will give the user additional battery time when it runs low and will not be able to find a charging point.

Lenovo said that these solar panels can actually absorb even ambient light in a person's surroundings to provide that coveted extra hour of use from the laptop at
